How do students typically use Symptom Media?
Symptom Media has many use cases. For example, students will use Symptom Media’s activities section, which are video case studies without the diagnosis listed, and take posttests to help them improve their clinical skills and understanding. Students can watch a video and answer multiple choice questions, prepare for clinical rotations by watching a video and completing a SOAP note or Mental Status Exam or take one of Symptom Media’s CE Courses, all designed around at least one of Symptom Media’s video case studies. Students can also watch video case studies alongside assigned readings such as the DSM-5-TR, watch example Mental Status Exams or Assessments, and much more.
Can I use Symptom Media videos to prepare for exams or assignments
Absolutely.
Are there quizzes or assessments available to go along with the videos?
Absolutely. Once you login, you’ll want to navigate to our Case Study Activities and Teletherapy Activities section, where you can watch a video without the diagnosis listed and take a post test consisting of 10 to 15 multiple choice questions. If you score 70% or higher, you’ll receive certificates of completion. You can also navigate to our CE Courses, take a course designed around at least one of Symptom Media’s video case studies, and take the post test. You’ll also receive certificates of completion on CE Courses if you score 70% or higher.
