Teletherapy

Flexible Video Simulations for Healthcare Professionals Looking to Grow and Excel.

Empowering Mental Health Professionals to Excel in Virtual Care

A Different Approach to Teletherapy Training

The rise of teletherapy has transformed the landscape of mental health care, offering increased access and flexibility for patients and providers alike. At Symptom Media, we recognize the unique challenges and opportunities teletherapy presents. That’s why we’ve developed comprehensive content to equip mental health professionals with the tools, skills, and confidence to deliver effective, compassionate care in a virtual setting.

High Quality Training is Essential

Why Simulations Matter in Teletherapy

  • Builds Confidence in Virtual Communication: Conducting therapy through a screen introduces new communication challenges, including:

✔ Reading subtle nonverbal cues that may be harder to detect online
✔ Managing technical disruptions while maintaining therapeutic rapport
✔ Ensuring engagement and emotional connection despite physical distance

  • Enhances Clinical Assessment Skills in a Virtual Setting: Mental health assessments rely on observing behaviors, emotions, and speech patterns, all of which, can appear differently in a teletherapy format. Simulations help clinicians:

✔ Identify key symptoms and risk factors in a virtual environment
✔ Adapt interviewing techniques to encourage client openness online
✔ Practice assessing suicide risk, trauma responses, and crisis situations remotely

“A much more dynamic way to learn, I am so grateful for the innovation of Symptom Media!”

Sandy Gibson, Professor of Counselor Education, The College of New Jersey

“I have found your training invaluable. It is some of the best clinical training I have received in quite some time. It is specific, focused and the mixture between psychiatric content, video case examples and how this content informs the psychiatric data is incredible.”

    Todd Brandon, M.S., Oregon LPC

"This platform is the coolest learning tool I have ever used!“I was describing it to my mom and telling her how encouraging it is to watch these videos and answer the questions as if we were in a session, without panicking about delivery. Instead we can assess, hypothesize on diagnosis AND explore differential diagnosis. She is so excited that she wants to look into purchasing the tool as well to go over with her interns and supervisees".
