These may be noted in an interview:

  • Recent significant weight loss (greater than 10lbs in a month).
  • Significant decline in oral health.
  • Elevated blood pressure.
  • Elevated heart rate.
  • Anxious or irritable affect.
  • Disheveled appearance.
  • Smells of alcohol, cannabis or other substance in interview.
  • Psychomotor slowing.
  • Psychomotor agitation or pacing.
  • Hand tremors.
  • Sweating.
