Types of Non-verbal Symptoms (cont.)

These may be expressed by family/support persons about the patient:

  • Sleeping too little or too much.
  • Change in eating habits (too much or too little).
  • Not attending work.
  • Not tending to household responsibilities (chores, bills, etc…).
  • Avoiding activities and events that were previously enjoyed.
  • Limited response to text and phone calls.
  • Decline in physical health symptoms (elevated blood pressure, worsening blood glucose).
  • Decreased motivation.
