Terms

  • Child Maltreatment.
    • Abuse and neglect of children under 18 years of age in the context of a relationship of responsibility, trust or power.
  • Sexual Violence.
    • Any sexual act, attempt to obtain a sexual act, or other act directed against a person’s sexuality using coercion, by any person regardless of their relationship to the victim, in any setting.
  • Intimate Partner Violence.
    • Behavior within an intimate relationship that causes physical, sexual or psychological harm, including acts of physical aggression, sexual coercion, psychological abuse and controlling behaviors.
